Small Animal Surgery

Small Animal Surgery

We perform many surgeries on a regular basis! Bring your house pets to us, and we’ll make sure they’re well-cared for from the consultation all the way to recovery.

Animals We Treat

Our veterinarian team can perform surgery on all of your household pets, including:

  • Dogs
  • Cats
  • Miniature Pigs
  • Goats and Sheep
  • Chickens
  • Hamsters
  • Rabbits

Surgeries We Perform

We can perform for your family pet right here in our animal hospital. Thanks to our fully-equipped Small Animal Surgery Suite, we can perform numerous routine and surgical procedures, including:

  • Spays/Neuters (including cryptorchid castrations)
  • Dental Cleaning and Surgical Extractions
  • Aural Hematoma Repairs
  • Mass Removals
  • Gastrointestinal surgeries (foreign bodies, gastropexies, etc.)
  • Bladder and urinary surgeries (urethral obstruction, stone removal, etc.)
  • Eye surgery (enucleation, entropion, cherry eye)
  • …and much more!

Our operating suite is equipped with the latest technology including gas anesthesia (isoflurane and sevoflurane), advanced monitoring equipment (ECG, SpO2, temperature, NIBP, CO2), electrocautery, CO2 laser, a ventilator, a warming unit, and more.  Anesthesia is monitored by one of our experienced technicians during each procedure.  By performing these surgeries in-house, we can save you significant costs compared to traveling to a referral hospital with your pet.

Orthopedic Procedures

Many of our small animal orthopedic procedure capabilities are thanks to Dennis Ting, DVM, DACVS, who’s board-certified by the American College of Veterinary Surgeons. Through Dr. Ting, we offer procedures such as:

  • Cruciate ligament repair (TPLO, Lateral Suture)
  • Patellar Luxation Correction
  • Femoral Head Ostectomy
  • Fracture Repair
  • and more

Laser Surgery

Laser surgery allows us to provide the same benefits to your cats, dogs, and other pets that human patients have enjoyed for years. With laser surgery, we see minimized bleeding, reduced risk of infection, less post-operative pain, less swelling and discomfort, and the ability to resume normal activities sooner. In short, laser surgery is shorter, simpler, and more effective.
