Dr. McGuigan was born and raised in Haddonfield, NJ.  He attended college at Rutgers New Brunswick where he earned a double major in Animal Science and Biology with a minor in Biochemistry as a member of the School of Environmental and Biological Sciences’ Honors Program. After graduation, he worked at Cherry Grove Farm in Lawrenceville, NJ where he assisted in managing the dairy herd as well as poultry and porcine operations. He moved to Scotland to attend The Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies in Edinburgh. He graduated from the University with distinction in July of 2022.

He has varied interests in the veterinary field. He has pursued veterinary work across the world including spring lambings in Scotland and England, pig husbandry and small animal practice in the United States, and externships with a farm animal practice in rural France where his grandfather practiced veterinary medicine. These experiences have inculcated a love of animal care and welfare and have given him a well-rounded and holistic approach to veterinary medicine.

Dr. McGuigan is thrilled to be back where he grew up and excited to put his roots down and practice veterinary medicine here at Rancocas Veterinary Associates.
